Frequently asked questions
Can Bellevue tech workers get a medical marijuana card confidentially?
Yes. Your Green Wellness appointment is HIPAA-protected. We do not share records with employers. Note that federal employees or those with federal security clearances should review their agency's policies independently.
Is telehealth available same-day from Bellevue?
Yes. Same-day telehealth slots are typically available Monday–Saturday. Book before noon for a same-day appointment.
Can I get my Washington medical marijuana card via telehealth?
It depends on whether it's your initial authorization or a renewal. WA RCW 69.51A.030 requires the initial physical examination to be in person — we hold those at our Lynnwood clinic. An annual renewal can be done by video if, at that in-person initial visit, your provider noted in your record that requiring you to attend in person would be a severe hardship because of your physical or emotional condition. (That note is a separate thing from a "compassionate care renewal," which is about renewing your recognition card without having to be physically present at a retailer.)
Why do I have to come in for the initial visit?
Washington statute (RCW 69.51A.030) requires the initial physical examination to be in person. Some online services advertise telehealth-only initials, but we don't offer that — see our why-in-person-initial page for the full regulatory explanation.
How long does a telehealth renewal take?
Renewal appointments are typically 15–20 minutes. You'll learn the decision the same visit, and your new written authorization is mailed within 3–5 business days.
What technology do I need for a renewal?
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone. No app to download — we use a secure browser-based video platform.
How much does it cost?
Initial visits at the Lynnwood clinic are $175. Annual telehealth renewals are $145. Payment is collected online at booking — no surprise fees.
